“From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised.” – Psalm 113:3
My trip to Mauritius was more than a vacation—it was a soul-soothing encounter with God’s creation. The island’s beauty was breathtaking, from the turquoise waves lapping gently at the shore to the rhythm of island life that invited me to slow down and breathe again.
But it was the sunsets that truly captivated me. Each evening, the sky became a canvas of gold, crimson, and violet. As the sun dipped below the horizon, I felt something in me begin to settle. It was as if heaven whispered, "Even endings can be beautiful."
That moment beneath the burning sky reminded me that life, like the ocean, moves in seasons. Some days are stormy, some still, and others radiant with promise. Mauritius taught me that healing doesn’t always happen in loud miracles—but sometimes in quiet moments, watching the sun say goodbye.
That sunset became a symbol of my own journey—of letting go, of embracing transition, and of trusting that even in life’s dusks, God is still painting something beautiful.
